Who Are We?
Our Mission
We’re building relationships to strengthen our response to the mental health needs in Kankakee County.

Strategy
Together, we will strengthen our response in 4 key ways:
1. EDUCATE about MH, its impact, current strategies, techniques, challenges and more.
2. BUILD strong, collaborative relationships among all impacted by mental health.
3. AMPLIFY messages to expose the need and end the stigma. Simplify the means to finding help, for residents.
4. GROW support groups & services within all arenas represented in the network; attract more providers; develop meaning-based training programs.
Our Core Values
As a broad network of community partners, the MHNetwork prioritizes these values:
We strive for strong, collaborative connections that achieve the goals of all core values.
We pledge to respect autonomy of individuals and organizations while opening two-way partnerships of learning, innovating, supporting and sharing.
We look for collaborative ways to share information about mental health with the broader community to grow awareness and remove stigma.
We embrace a sense of adventure to try new approaches to growing mental health support within all arenas represented in the network.

Collective Perspectives!
Like the stripes on a beach ball, each of us sees the effects of mental illness from a different perspective.
With many diverse groups at the RoundTable, we get a glimpse of the whole story of mental health in Kankakee County and work together to grow avenues of support!
